About Joy

I'm a simple girl. My day begins with coffee and Jesus. It usually ends with a deeper revelation of grace because I probably made some mistakes. Some of my titles are: wife, home-school mom, cook, driver, author, and speaker. Grace is the anthem of my life. I live to honor God, love my energetic husband and raise my lively boys. Some days I do this well and some days I don't. I am a genuine work in progress. Encouraging women and students to help them reach their potential lights a fire inside me. It's my aim to enjoy everyday life - whether it be a glowing sunset, a rich conversation with a girlfriend, or making lunches for my boys. I am learning to relax and enjoy the everyday moments of life because life is precious.

Joseph's Joy: Read the Book

On July 11, 2011, my family and life was changed forever as my firstborn son was diagnosed with a highly aggressive brain tumor. Through countless hospitals in multiples states, invasive surgeries and treatments, and two angelic visitations, Joseph and our family faced the unthinkable. Over the course of a number of years and through thousands of shed tears I scribbled down this story to share it with you and to encourage you in your own journey.

Trust me, I'm not preachy. But I am passionate about sharing from the Word of God and my own life lessons. I’m a girl who speaks about hope in the midst of my own struggles - and want to encourage you through your own. Bringing God’s Word to life so that it makes a difference in our everyday routines is my greatest joy in speaking. Together we’ll love, laugh, shed a tear or two, and walk away encouraged and filled with hope for both today and tomorrow.
