• Joy Scott is a writer, speaker, influencer, and businesswoman. She graduated with an education degree from Southeastern Louisiana University and obtained Master’s Certifications in education from the University of New Orleans. She carries a burning desire to influence and teach those who are stuck by sharing her story and the obstacles she has overcome, while also keeping her heart centered around home. Joy values being a wife and mother and the richness that comes from connected relationships at home. Her husband refers to her as a modern-day “Proverbs 31” woman. Joy has a sincere passion to help those who are bound from life’s pains. Encouraging others to obtain healing, freedom, and purpose is her life message. Joy resides in the greater New Orleans area with her husband and two sons.

  • In 2015 Joy self-published her debut book, Joseph’s Joy: Living with Unstoppable Hope. She is now working on her second book entitled FLOW: Keeping Your Heart Alive When Life Hurts. She now has a Substack where she posts inspirational content and reflections. 

  • Joy has been the keynote speaker for over thirty professional business events, church conferences, and retreats such as Women Mean Business and a Houston Church’s women’s event called Joy. Joy’s warm, authentic writing and speaking style endears listeners, making her a sought-after speaker.

  • Joy and her husband, Jon, founded Joseph’s Joy which raised tens of thousands of dollars to help families afford the unforeseen medical costs incurred as their children battled life threatening illnesses. She is active with the Louisiana chapter of a national charity that delivers baskets of inspirational gifts to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Joy’s desire to help people further led her to become a life coach with a faith-based coaching firm that connects people to their God-ordained purpose while providing them concrete steps to achieving God’s mission for their life.

  • Joy has taught high school classical composition, health and physical education, and also classically educates her two sons. She graduated with an education degree from Southeastern Louisiana University and obtained Master’s Certifications in education from the University of New Orleans.
